Our Logo
Since we are primarily a "Packet" business,
what better logo than a Packet Boat ? Also  known
as a "Paquebot". Although ships carried letters for centuries, the term Paquebot was not used as a cancel until the late 19th century.
The ship on our logo is the Santa Clara and was of a type known as a "Down Easter". They did not appear until after the American civil war and were primarily used for "rounding the Horn" and
carrying grain between San Francisco and Eastern ports.
Few Down Easters have survived the years but, one of the best preserved is the Star of India. She is located in San Diego,California and preserved as a museum.
